Nestled on the top of the Avenue Road Hill, it is surrounded by ravines, parkland with plenty of green space. Despite its central location, Casa Loma is a serene and quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Boasted as one of the posher upscale area of the city, the streets are lined with gorgeous Edwardian, Tudor and Georgian houses. The area has more of an “enchanted forest” feel, with beautiful whimsical houses throughout.
The neighbourhood has been a fashionable address. It is a haven for professionals who are generally young and affluent. They are either young couples or families setting up a home for themselves. There is still a senior presence for those who have resided in the area for most of their lives.

There are plenty of parks that offer its residents trails for hiking, dog parks, playgrounds for children and outdoor sports, one being Sir Winston Churchill Park, which also houses the Spadina Museum and Tarragon Theatre. Wrapped around Sir Winston Churchill Park is the Nordheimer Ravine. It features a rustic wood path with many great picnic spots along the way accompanied by plants and wildlife.
Gourmet food shops, high end boutiques, and all kinds of professional services are available on Spadina Road in the heart of Forest Hill Village as cozy cafes line Dupont Street.
The local community centre operates out of Hillcrest School comes with an indoor pool and a gymnasium.
