Casa Loma, Spanish for ‘House Hill’ is a neighbourhood named after the famous Gothic Revival castle. Nestled on the top of the Avenue Road Hill, it is surrounded by ravines, parkland with plenty of green space. Despite its central location, Casa Loma is a serene and quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Transportation

The Casa Loma neighbourhood is well served by public transit. Buses and streetcars regularly run along Bathurst Street and St. Clair Avenue West. The TTC runs the 512 streetcar along St. Clair and to the south there’s the Davenport bus 127. For motorists, the main roads to access the city are Bathurst Street and St.Clair Avenue.

Wrapped around Sir Winston Churchill Park is the Nordheimer Ravine. It features a rustic wood path with many great picnic spots along the way accompanied by plants and wildlife.

Gourmet food shops, high end boutiques, and all kinds of professional services are available on Spadina Road in the heart of Forest Hill Village as cozy cafes line Dupont Street.

The local community centre operates out of Hillcrest School comes with an indoor pool and a gymnasium.

In an affluent neighbourhood, it comes with an array of high end dining options. BlueBlood Steakhouse, located just inside Casa Loma, offers a refined dining experience in an upscale environment. Another dining option in Casa Loma is The Garden, where guests can enjoy a casual meal al fresco in the centre of the gardens. The Pour House Pub & Kitchen is a local favourite for pub fares and comfort food.
