The area has a copious amount of services, shops, restaurants and amenities for highly active residents. What also makes this neighbourhood stand out is the nearby beautiful Mount Pleasant Cemetery which attracts many visitors from all over the city. It is a great neighbourhood for exploring the outdoors, while still being able to have a short commute to the downtown core.

Typically, the houses were built in the 1920s and 1930s and are mostly two and three storey homes although there are still a few bungalows. There are a series of old and new condominium projects built on streets adjoining Yonge street.
