Entertainment
As a highly sought-after tourist destination, entertainment in The Waterfront is second-to-none. Whether you’re a sports fan wanting to catch the big game or you relaxing with a drink on a beautiful patio, there’s something here for you.
Dining
The Dining experience on The Waterfront can be summed up in a couple of phrases: comfort food with a twist, and amazing views. Spots like Joe Bird are popular with incredible fried chicken, cocktails by the pitcher, and a unique ice cream bar. Beer connoisseurs can enjoy themselves at The Amsterdam Brew House serving pub-style food and great brews, and Against the Grain Tavern is an excellent spot for elevated snacks just steps from Sugar Beach.
Nightlife
During the day, The Waterfront is always buzzing with activities, but at night is when it really comes alive. There are so many nightlife activities here that it might get overwhelming to plan a night out on the town. The Waterfront is close to many other iconic Toronto locations like the Fashion District, Entertainment District, and Distillery District. You can watch the next generation of comedy greats at the world-famous Second City or try your hand at bowling at The Ballroom. For more traditional night-out activities, there are numerous pubs, clubs, and lounges to choose from too.
Sports
This is where sports fans need to be. The Waterfront is just steps away from Scotiabank Arena and Rogers Centre. So whether you’re a fan of baseball, basketball, hockey, or all three, you’re never far from the action.
Shopping
As a relatively tourist-centric neighbourhood, it’s not surprising that shopping in The Waterfront is also an excellent experience. The CF Toronto Eaton Center is located here. Both a Toronto institution and one of Canada’s most famous shopping centres, the Eaton Center is home to all the major retail chains you could ever want. The Harbourfront Centre is also a popular shopping destination for one-of-a-kind gifts, crafts, art, and products made from the centre’s roster of artists-in-residence.
